*Rihanna is taking her talents to NBC.
NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt announced Thursday that the singer will “serve as a key adviser to all the coaches” when the singing competition returns for its ninth season this fall.
“Reinforcing the credibility of this show, this is one of music’s true superstars coming on board to influence the lives and careers of some hopeful new performers,” Greenblatt said of RiRi at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour Thursday in Beverly Hills.
Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine and Pharrell are returning as coaches.
The new season begins Sept. 21 at 8 p.m.
