Mike Brown’s Death Mocked by Police Facebook Post

*As opposed to saying it’s racism, we’ll be charitable and go with the old “it’s them against us” school of thought at work … we suppose.

On Facebook a police group has decided to stir things up by reportedly posting a memorial tribute of the mocking kind to Michael ‘Mike’ Brown on the 1-year anniversary weekend of his death at the hands of former Ferguson, MO police office Daren Wilson. Brown was unarmed.

According to a report at Raw Story, a Facebook group called “Police Officers” reportedly posted a photoshopped image of a crude memorial plaque that read:

“There once was a thug named Brown, Who bum-rushed a cop with a frown, Six bullets later, He met his creator, Then his homies burnt down the town.”

Before the offensive tribute was removed, it had received close to 4,000 Facebook “likes” and was shared more than 1,700 times, Raw Story says. But some members of the closed group objected to the image.

“Sorry, while I support my LEO [law enforcement officer] brothers,” one commenter wrote, “this is very distasteful. We are above this garbage. Should take down.”

“Mike Brown chose his path, one that has lead [sic] this country into complete divisiveness. He’s not a martyr, he was a thug, who robbed a clerk then made the adult choice to fight a cop, of which he intended to murder,” the group’s administrator responded.

The offensive verbiage apparently originated on “CoonTown,” a now-banned Reddit community, however it was reprinted on Facebook by the Libertarian group Communism Kills, according to the Raw Story report.

  1. The World Is Full Of Troubles And Disgrace And Shame Why Add More To The Fuel When We Say We Want Peace And Harmony And For Every Man To Be Treated Equal…. Love We Use That Word So Loosely But Some Americans Do Not Get The Concept Of True Love… Love Is Patient, Kind, Does Not Behave Unseemly. Those Who Are Suppose To Be In Authority Is Suppose To Be The Example Of Love.

  2. Boy if someone would’ve wrote a fable about the recent cop shooting, condemnations would come down on them as if they killed a lion.

  3. Hate Crime is an intentional, deliberate, and methodically-charged crime executed in order to create harm or damage with regard to a specific victim chosen as a result of prejudice, racism, bias, and unlawful resentment and therefore should be and is absolutely a crime.

Therefore, hate crimes can range from racially-charged assaults to the defamation of property belonging to a religious institution. In a legal forum, no individual is exempt from being the victim of a hate crime. As long as there exist any definable traits or qualities latent within an individual or entity there can also exist illegal and unlawful actions directed towards that person or entity resulting from bias or prejudice.

  4. One of the worst decisions for black men in decades was the George Zimmerman verdict whereas white America and the criminal justice system, (who used a foreign prosecutor), spat in the faces of black men by, again, manipulating facts as well as using obvious lying witnesses to convince both the court of white public opinion, and the court’s ruling by letting a civillian aka murderer walk. Realizing and rejoicing the court’s decision, this verdict educated white cops by teaching them that if the court’s, through trickery, can display that it has no value for black men’s lives, by letting a civilian walk, then we, as cops, can kill black men at will. Since that verdict, it has never been more common than it is now to see or hear that a black man has been shot and killed by a cop. It was just reported yesterday in austin, Tx. that a 19 year old black high school football player was shot and killed by the police. Sadly, it’s going to get worse unless there’s some serious education in the black community for black men and women about how to respond to angry and aggressive cops.

    • “One of the worst decisions for black men in decades was the George Zimmerman verdict…”

      Without a doubt.
Our federal government failed us in a dramatic manner. They wouldn’t even file manslaughter charges when the state prosecutor was willing to file murder.
The Mike Brown case may have been even worse. Here, the federal government agreed to the totally ludicrous claim by Wilson, that Brown continued to rush at him under a hail of bullets, which everyone knows is not humanly possible.

After more than a year, the Obama DOJ has yet to return a decision on the Eric Garner case, which if charges are not filed, would top both the Zimmerman and Brown case.

We all know that a DOJ has to do the bidding of its president.
Black people got to finally fess up that they were hoodwinked by an half breed passing as a black man, who could care less about them.

  5. People turn their noses up at Farrakhan, but he makes sense. We’ve weak leaders who cry for us to be peaceful as we continue to be shot down, hung in jails, and mistreated. They are puppets who continue to march without results.
