“Pixels” is Adam Sandler’s best picture yet, which is due mainly to director Chris Columbus (“Harry Potter,” “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”).  And, eat your heart out @sshole (you’re not worthy to be named here) who said Serena Williams looks like a man. Ironically, Williams—looking as hot as ever—is the dream and object of desire of “Game of Thrones” Peter Dinkage in “Pixels.” Dinkage, who drives home most of the laughs in “Pixels,” stars as Fire Blaster. Released from prison to help stamp out an alien invasion, Dinkage demands a hook up with Williams as compensation.

In the 80s Sam Brenner (Sandler), Will Cooper (Kevin James), Ludlow Lamonsoff (Josh Gad), and Eddie “The Fire Blaster” Plant (Dinklage) saved the world thousands of time—at 25 cents a game in the video arcades. Now, they will have to do it for real because intergalactic aliens misinterpreted video feeds of classic arcade games to be a declaration of war. So they attack Earth, using video games as the models for their strikes.

U.S. President Will Cooper calls on his old-school arcade friends to save the world from being destroyed by PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede, and Space Invaders. Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens joins them in their quest.

Irony does not stop at Williams appearing in “Pixels.” J.K. Rowling, who penned “Harry Potter” and responsible for the blockbuster franchise, came to Williams defense when she was skewed by a hater, “I love her, what a woman, what an athlete and role model.” Rowling then added a picture of Williams in a red dress to her tweet and remarked, “Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You’re an idiot…” Williams and Martha Stewart’s cameos in the film are clever, comic inclusions. State of the art special effects and the 3D experience will enhance moviegoers’ pixel pleasure, while they cheer on the screen saviors.

Jane Krakowski and Sean Bean also star.
