Future Spilling the Tea About Ciara to Boost Album Sales

Ciara+Future

*We hope Future will kick back a few residual checks to Ciara for spilling the tea about their sex life, because Page Six is reporting that the rapper is using her to help boost sales of his latest album.

Both artists are signed to Epic, and the label is loving the drama because “it pushes sales,” according to the publication. Ciara’s latest project sold 19,000 copies its first week, compared to Future’s projected 150,000 for his album “DS2.” A source told Page Six that the rapper keeps talking about his baby momma in interviews to help sell the album.

“It’s definitely a part of the plan. When they split up, everyone hated him because he cheated. He’s been painting her as this diva and villain to make himself look better and to take the heat off of him cheating,” says the source.

Although Future tweeted “I wish I cared,” when news broke that Ciara was dating Russell Wilson, the source said, “This is his way of retaliating because everyone loves her new relationship.”

A source close to Ciara said, “She’s not even thinking about him. She’s focused on her child and providing as a single mother.”

Meanwhile, Future’s planned free concert at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood was cancelled after hundreds of fans hoping to score one of the first 500 coveted tickets forced the closure of Sunset Boulevard  Thursday afternoon. LA County Sheriff deputies in riot gear responded to the scene to control traffic.

The show was rescheduled to take place at the nearby House of Blues later that night but was canceled for a second time after someone set off two fire extinguishers and fans rushed the entrance, ABC7 reports.

“The artist realized that he had an overwhelming response, and we made several announcements that the concert had been canceled and it would take place at a later date at a larger venue so it would accommodate everyone,” said Sgt. Richard Bowman at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.
