*Two weeks after Patricia Voorhies filed a restraining order against her new son-in-law, her daughter Lark is publicly defending her husband, saying, “He’s not [taking advantage of me]. We’re selectively together for all the right reasons.”
Patricia says she was forced to file a restraining order against her new son-in-law Jimmy Green after he continued to sleep at her home and argue with her. Green and Patricia had made an agreement that he would spend nights at his own home. In the paperwork obtained by TMZ, Patricia reportedly once found Green asleep in her closet, and after waking him up, Green allegedly yelled: “You motherf–king woke me up, ain’t that a bitch.”
Since then, Lark told Entertainment Tonight that her mother has warmed up to her husband and feels differently about their quickie marriage. “The support was there. It’s all celebratory,” Voorhies said.
In her original filing, Patricia said Lark lived with her because she was “psychologically, mentally, and emotionally fragile,” all claims Lark denies. “I’ve always been mentally healthy,” said the “Saved by the Bell” star. Still, Voorhies is living under the care of her mother.
When Green addressed the reason why the restraining order was filed, he said Voorhies’ mother was overreacting.
When ET’s Kevin Frazier asked if he was aggressive to Lark’s mother, Green said, “I mean, not enough to get a restraining order…No, I wasn’t aggressive. I was just aggressive in…
Lark interrupts to say, “Powerfully spoken, basically.”
Then he finishes, “…blunt and demanding.”
Frazier asked what they hoped people take away from the interview, Green said, “They just understand that we’re the same as any other couple that’s in love, trying to accomplish business together. And it’s not a scam or a way to get money…”
Lark interrupts again to say, “Right, the powerful uniting of one act of productive purpose.”
Green also revealed that he’s helping Lark produce an album.
