*A rep for Paula Deen says she didn’t post the 2011 Halloween costume photo on her Twitter account showing her son Bobby in “brownface” makeup as “I Love Lucy” character Ricky Ricardo.

Deen spokesman Jaret Keller said Tuesday that a social media manager posted the photo taken in connection with Deen’s former Food Network show, “Paula’s Best Dishes.” The manager, who was not identified, was fired from Paula Deen Ventures, Keller said in a statement.

The photo was quickly pulled Tuesday from Twitter, but the online backlash had already gotten underway over Bobby Deen’s use of dark makeup to portray Ricky, the fictional TV husband portrayed by Ball’s real-life spouse Desi Arnaz.

Paula Deen’s relationship with the Food Network ended over her 2013 acknowledgment that she’d used a racial slur in the past.
