*It’s being reported that Beyoncé is in talks with Disney and Marvel to join Marvel’s “Avengers,” which would cause the box office to combust if true. We’re not fanatics of the superhero universe, but dress up Queen Bey as a sexy goddess who saves the day and Marvel can have all our money.

The Daily Star reported that the singer/actress is being considered for four possible characters, but Marvel Studios doesn’t have the rights to two of them.

The characters, Boom-Boom (the alter-ego of Tabitha Smith, a secret agent with the ability to create lethal plasma bombs with her mind) and Blink (a superhero who can teleport herself and others anywhere) are possible roles – but both characters are linked to the “X-Men,” which Fox Studios has the rights to and Marvel is not able to use on the big screen.

The paper also reported Bey could play Tigra (a cat-like crime-fighter with superhuman strength, speed and agility) or take over the role of Hawkeye (previously played by Jeremy Renner).

According to the report, the producers want to add Bey in hopes of attracting millions of new fans to the franchise. An unnamed Disney exec said:

“We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalogue of comic book characters.”

This casting rumor remains just that – a rumor, until Bey’s camp confirms.

Meanwhile, Beyonce will headline Jay Z and Budweiser’s Made in America music festival in Philadelphia this September.

The rest of the lineup includes the Weekend, J. Cole, Modest Mouse, Death Cab For Cutie, Big Sean, Santigold, Future, Banks, Action Bronson, Earl Sweatshirt, DJ Mustard and Nick Jonas, among many others.

Tickets for the two-day festival go on sale June 29. The Made in America Festival kicks off at Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia September 5 and 6.
