The 4x time Grammy nominated R&B artist signed a new record deal earlier this year with BMG Primary Wave Label Services, and his seventh studio album will be released this fall/winter.
“I’ve worked with a lot of different people throughout my career and signing with Primary Wave just felt right,” Jaheim said in a statement. “Their team is creative and driven and I definitely see this as a long-term and valuable relationship for my overall career.”
“Jaheim is a great addition to our label services roster and overall Primary Wave family,” adds Larry Mestel, Founder & CEO of Primary Wave. “His innate talent, impressive album sales and dedicated fanbase motivates our team and we look forward to continuing to grow his brand across many platforms.”
Jaheim joins Primary Wave’s talented roster which includes Eric Benet, Melanie Fiona, Jagged Edge, Deborah Cox, among others.
He also headlined the “Ladies Night R&B Extravaganza” earlier this year in New Jersey along with Tank, K-Ci and Jojo and Avant.
Jaheim’s company, Julia’s Dream, was named after his mother Julia Hoagland, who died from spinal-cord meningitis when he was 17. A few years after Julia’s passing, Jaheim released his hit album “Ghetto Love” in 2001. In the 15 years since, he’s released multiple platinum and No. 1 records.
