In Baltimore, the AAF Returns for a Celebration of Life, Music & Culture

The African American Festival is hosted by Comedian, Actor & Producer Chris Spencer, Singer & ”R&B Diva” Brave Williams, Reality Star Jewel Tankard and Actor, Singer & Comedian David Mann–

*Baltimore, Maryland – The 2015 African American Festival (AAF), presented by Black Enterprise and produced by greiBO, continues to bring out top talent and celebrities to support the African American Festival (AAF) and the City of Baltimore.

Former Baltimore Raven Ray Lewis will bring a powerful message to the festival attendees and the City of Baltimore during the AAF weekend. Make sure to get to the festival Early.

Saturday, our main stage will open with a Special ‘Empire’ Hour with “Yazz the Greatest” aka Hakeem and V. Bozeman hitting the stage for a hot performance you will not want to miss.

Also added to the weekend appearance list: Supermodel Beverly Johnson, Sister 2 Sister publisher Jamie Foster Brown, NFL’s Butch Woolfolk, author and reality star Jewel Tankard, author/actress Debbi Morgan and actress Bern Nadette Stanis. ‘Apprentice’ star Kwame Jackson will also make his second return visit to the Baltimore AAF Pepsi Pavilion to uplift and empower the community.

Make sure you stop by the Black Enterprise Empowerment Zone.  They will provide giveaways, host Meet and Greets/Signings with celebrities and encourage attendees to stop by for a photo break at the Instagram Photo booth.

The “BE Modern Man Panel” with include discussions with guests: Wes Moore, Founder & CEO, BridgeEdU, Porter Braswell, CEO/Strategic Partnerships, Jopwell and Nehemiah Davis, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist with moderator, Kelly Pierre-Louis, BE Director of Audience Development & Consumer Engagement and more.

Bern Nadette Stanis and Jewell Tankard will join the main stage as hosts on Sunday, June 21st and Tankard will also speak on the Prudential “Ladies That Lead” session with speakers Supermodel Beverly Johnson, lifestyle expert and TLC’s ‘Dare to Wear’ host Tai Beauchamp, and NAACP Image Award-winning producer Sidra Smith.  This event will be moderated by Cameka Smith, CEO & Founder of The Boss Network.

Sunday, June 21st will be “Greek Day” and we are asking all Greek Fraternities and Sororities to highlight their sorority and fraternity paraphernalia!

This year, AAF will introduce Toyota’s Tech Playground, One-on-One financial counseling by Prudential, a Beauty Bar with demonstrations, samples and techniques, sponsored by Covergirl and Uncle Funky’s Daughter, the Beer Garden, sponsored by Anheuser-Busch, and Festival Live, hosted by Sister 2 Sister publisher Jamie Foster Brown, will showcase celebrity panels, conversations and talks presented by CharmTV.

Newly added activations include: Southwest Love Vouchers $100 off when you purchase two tickets, Under Armour Golf Simulator, the Brow Bar and Book Nook.

R&B Divas LA star and singer Brave Williams, will host a meet and greet in the Beauty Bar to introduce her new perfume “Embellish.”

The 2015 African American Festival lineup includes:  Grammy Award Winners Will Downing, Faith Evans and Stephanie Mills; Legendary Musician Sheila E; R&B Crooner Eric Roberson; Hip Hop Legend Doug E. Fresh; Top-Selling R&B Female Group SWV; Stellar Award-Winner Tamela Mann; Actress and Singer Demetria McKinney and R&B Boy Band 4EY the Future.

This year’s hosts are Real Husbands of Hollywood Co-Creator, Chris Spencer, Singer and “R&B Diva”Brave Williams, and Actor and Singer David Mann. Festival DJ’s are DJ Beauty and the Beatz and DJ Tanz.

The African American Festival will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 21, 2015, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Camden Yards Sports & Entertainment Complex.
