*ABC’s new primetime celebrity version of “Family Feud” with Emmy Award-winning talk show host Steve Harvey premieres this Sunday,  June 21 at 8/7c. The six-episode special will feature fan-favorite celebrities competing with their families for charity.

We asked Steve which celebrities he’s most looking forward to competing on the show. He also told us about the wacky gift his children gave him for Father’s Day last year, and why he believes he’s the most sought-after advice giver.

EURweb: This season of “Celebrity Family Feud” has an impressive line up of celebrity contestants, which families are you most looking forward to sparring off?

STEVE: I don’t know the match-up’s yet. I just know some friends of mine, Holly Robinson Peete is going to be here, Dr. Phil is gonna be here. Mario Lopez, Anthony Anderson. I know the train wrecks that are coming. Anthony Anderson and Doctor Phil are two train wrecks.

EURweb: You think Anthony Anderson and Dr. Phil will be the wildest contestants?

STEVE: Wildest contestant will be Anthony Anderson, make no mistake about that.

EURweb: One of my favorite things about you as host on Family Feud is that you will have an honest and hilarious reaction when contestants give terrible answers. Are questions crafted so that answers can elicit laughter and shock from you and the audience?

Steve: I don’t know the questions or the answers, neither do the contestants. You can’t write some of these answers that these people give, and we can not imagine what they’ll say. The most unexpected thing you can think of is oftentimes what’ll come out they mouth, and it’ll make YouTube. If somebody could craft a question to solicit those answers, and guarantee people laugh – you know what they’d do? They’d create a show and make millions of dollars doing it. Problem is, they ain’t got the right host. Hello! Steve Harvey just plugged himself!

EURweb: A recent article asked, How does a TV show that was last at its peak in the early 1980s finally regain its momentum in 2015? Answer: Sex, social media and Steve Harvey saved “Family Feud.” How do you respond to that?

STEVE: Sex has saved a lot of things, marriages, relationships, work. I would quit all these jobs if there was no more sex. But I think the success of these shows causes my wife to want to have sex with me more, and therefore I find the correlation to be very true. So I don’t know if it saved this damn show, or if this show is saving me.

EURweb: Father’s day is coming up, can you share with our readers your view on Father’s Day. Why is Father’s Day so important?

STEVE: Father’s Day is great. I want my kids to get together and come up with a damn gift that I want, though. I want all these kids that I sent to college, spent all this money on, I want them stupid people to get together and buy a gift that I want for Father’s Day. Here’s what I don’t want, last year, my sons, my stupid sons, who are college educated, decided to buy their father a pair of eyeglasses that were actually view masters that you can watch a movie in. I don’t know what made they stupid-a** think that I want to see a movie in 3D two inches from my eyeball. So you watch an hour and a half movie of stuff coming two inches from your eyeball, and grown people don’t like that, but my kids thought that would be a great gift for their dad, sitting on the airplane screaming cause he think he about to get his eye put out by a meteor. So, I would like my children to get together and buy a gift that they daddy want, like a new Rolex or a Bentley…something like that. They got jobs.

EURweb: Tom Hanks’ son, (rapper Chet Haze), went on a rant recently about his right to use the N-word. If Tom and his son were contestants on “Celebrity Feud”, what would you say to him?

STEVE: He can use the N-word but then he would have to get out the building safe. Everybody can use it, you just gotta make sure you’re cleared. Look, this is America, do your thing – but when the wrong people find out, ya know, and Tom Hanks is a great guy, but if his son want to use it, go ‘head and use it, but-now, when you use it, you just gotta be able to make sure you can clear the walls. You gotta be able to get out the building.

EURweb: What do you think is the reason why you’re the most sought after advice giver?

STEVE: Real answers. I’m just an honest guy. My forté is just to be honest about it, whatever it is. You don’t have to agree with me, but can I at least be honest with you about it? I don’t like fake stuff. I don’t like people to ask me a question and then I give them some fake answer that my publicist told me to give. I don’t let them tell me what to say.
