*HBO tweeted Tuesday morning a pic of Kerry Washington in full character as Anita Hill on the set of its original film, “Confirmation.”
The “Scandal” actress is starring in and executive producing the movie about the 1991 Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination hearings, which featured testimony from Hill.
Wendell Pierce (“The Wire,” “Treme,” “The Odd Couple”) is playing Thomas. Jennifer Hudson, Cobie Smulders, Erika Christensen, Eric Stonestreet, Grace Gummer, Greg Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Dylan Baker and Alison Wright round out the cast.
Oscar nominee Susannah Grant (“Erin Brockovich”) wrote the script and is executive producing. Rick Famuyiwa, whose indie film “Dope” hits theaters this weekend, is directing.
