WATCH: ‘Actors on Actors’ w/ Taraji. P. Henson and Queen Latifah

*Variety and PBS SoCaL’s second “Actors on Actors” interview show will feature conversations between actors including Claire Danes with Don Cheadle, and Queen Latifah with Taraji P. Henson. The actors will cover subjects including their craft, the ever-changing business of television and each other’s work.

“The television landscape is changing rapidly on a day-to-day basis, attracting an increasingly vast array of talented actors,” said Michelle Sobrino, publisher of Variety. “Variety is excited to again collaborate with PBS SoCaL to bring these entertaining and engaging conversations between some of today’s most highly celebrated television actors to the PBS audience.”

In addition to airing on PBS stations around the country, the videos will also be available on Variety.com. Check out the first two episodes here, the first featuring Taraji P. Henson and Queen Latifah; and the second finds Viola Davis and Jane Fonda discussing womanhood and roles for women in Hollywood. Each clip is 10 minutes long. The conversation between Henson and Latifah is above, (Davis and Fonda below).

The series will premiere in two installments on June 14 and 21.

“After the great success from our initial partnership with Variety, PBS SoCal is excited to once again bring these intimate conversations to our esteemed viewers,” said Andy Russell, PBS SoCaL COO.

Each conversation covers various areas specific to the craft of acting and the business itself, like their process, fighting for roles, playing complex women in television, staying in character and the break-neck speed of filming television (or as Taraji P. Henson says, “It’s like shooting a mini-movie each week.”); also Queen Latifah reminisces about her time on “Living Single.”

Other interviews include Jessica Lange with Taylor Schilling, Liev Schreiber with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Sheen with Bob OdenkirkMatt LeBlanc with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Clive Owen with Julianna Margulies, and Gina Rodriguez with Uzo Aduba.

We’re looking forward to the conversations with Odenkirk, Lange, Danes with Cheadle and Liev with Maggie!
