EUR on the Scene: 2015 Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet (WATCH)

*EUR was on the scene as the stars gathered at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17 for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. The show, which featured performances by Kanye West, Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea aired on ABC at 8:00pm EST/PST.

EURweb Associate Kiki Ayers caught up with some of your favorite celebrities at the red carpet preshow to find out their red carpet must haves and upcoming projects. Among the talent on the red carpet was Empire’s Yazz and Serayah McNeil, Singer/Songwriter Rico Love and singer Natalie La Rose among many others.

Serayah looked beautiful in a turquoise gown and explained that her red carpet necessity was lip gloss whereas singer/songwriter Vivian Lamolli said hers was confidence. La Rose said she always had to have a “fabulous dress,” when hitting the carpet and that she did as she wore a sparkling white dress.

The morning of the Billboard of awards, upcoming Queens rapper Chinx was killed in his hometown outside of a night club in the mist of a drive by shooting. Yazz didn’t personally know the rapper but sent his condolences to the family.

Rico Love, who was really good friends with the rapper, said the news broke his heart.

“I know Chinx very well and I just saw him a couple of weeks ago,” said Love. “I think artists have to start standing for something. We make a lot of records about killing each other and shooting each other but they don’t explain the struggle and why those things come about.”

Stars also expressed their grief for the loss of the legendary BB King. La Rose explained that he was a huge inspiration and a real musician. Lamolli said she was first introduced to the music of the Blues icon through Justin Timberlake.

“The soul and southern rock out of him was so beautiful. I just pray that people really understand that we lost and angel.”
