Dy-No-Mite! Thelma Says ‘Good Times the Movie’ is Coming! (Watch)

*Only one word can describe how all “Good Times” fans once they hear the news of a long awaited film of the popular sitcom: Dy-no-mite!!!

EURweb associate, LaCora Stephens, caught up with Chicago’s housing projects favorite daughter: Thelma. Yes, at 61 Bern Nadette Stanis is still unbelievably drop dead gorgeous and she shared a surprising secret to her looks. You’ll never guess what it is. She also discusses her new books and a huge surprise: A “Good Times” movie is on the way! We’ve also learned, via Deadline, that the writer-creator of ABC’s “Black-ish,” Kenya Barris, will also pen the screenplay for the film.

  1. Why? The tv show sucked. Hated JJ dumb acting character, Thelma could act worth a darn, Michael and Whelona were coney as hell. Florida and James….”sigh” Please don’t make this into a move

  2. I went to college with John Amos and he told me that he detested the role of J J because it glorified stereotypes of crime in the inner-city. Remember his reference to the “five finger discount?” Norman Lear wanted to further develop J J’s negative image and Amos would have no part of it. I respect John Amos for this even though he’d call you at 5am on Saturday mornings wanting to play basketball at the Old Main. LOL! LOL! Fanteeking, Cape Coast
