Denver PD’s 420 Tweet Inspired by Chamillionaire; Rapper Almost Fights with MJ

chamillionaire,*The Denver Police Department has been retweeted more than 6,300 times with more than 5,200 favorites. It’s all because they tweeted about being safe on 4/20, according to Denver 9 News.

DPD referenced rapper Chamillionaire and his hit 2006 single, “Ridin‘,” which is the song famous for its lyrics, “They see me rollin’, they hatin’, patrolling, they tryin’ to catch me ridin’ dirty.”

420-tweetNevertheless, Chamillionaire has been in the news not only due to the pop culture reference, but there’s been some drama between he and a iconic figure in sports — Michael Jordan.

According to AllHipHop, the rapper had beef with Jordan from a charity event years ago, and MJ was rude. Jordan refused to take a picture with him.

The icon told Chamillionaire he would have to pay him the same amount he paid for his jersey at the charity event in order for him to take a photo with him. The rapper wanted to swing on him.
