*The videographer who sued Kanye West last year has dropped his lawsuit against the rapper following a settlement in the case, his lawyer said.

Last July, Daniel Ramos sued West, 37, for assault, battery, negligence and interference with civil rights after the singer allegedly threw him to the ground and tried to take his camera. The videographer sought “general and punitive damages,” said Ramos’ lawyer Gloria Allred.

Several weeks later, West responded by claiming self-defense. The rapper was also charged with misdemeanor battery as result of the scuffle, and last year, pleaded no contest in a special plea that allowed him to maintain his innocence, according to the Associated Press.

“We filed a dismissal because the case was settled to the satisfaction of the parties,” read a statement from Allred. “We cannot discuss the details of the settlement, except to say that one important aspect of it was an apology by Kanye West to our client, Daniel Ramos. After the apology, a picture was taken of Mr. West shaking Mr. Ramos’ hand.”

The AP also reported that he was sentenced to two years of probation, 250 hours of community service and anger management therapy.
