*Vanilla Ice accepted a plea deal in Florida Thursday that requires him to complete 100 hours of community service and pay more than $1,000 in restitution in exchange for grand theft charges being dropped.

The former rapper, born Robert Van Winkle, was charged with burglary and grand theft over an incident between December 2014 and February 2015 in which he took furniture, a pool heater, bicycles and other items from a Florida home he thought was vacant.

He hosts a home-improvement show, DIY Network’s “The Vanilla Ice Project,” and was renovating a home next to the victim. He said the alleged theft was a misunderstanding.

“I’m glad to have this behind me and move forward to do positive things,” Ice said.

The rapper-turned-house-flipper will perform his community service with Habitat for Humanity.
