*Charlotte lawyer Ken Harris, the originator of the story, said Thursday, a legal drama will film in Columbia, S.C. for six weeks starting in July, according to The State.
“I was enamored with Columbia because my son is at USC (University of South Carolina),” said Harris. “What a wonderful environment for the movie; a wonderful setting.”
“Steve Harvey Morning Show” co-host Nephew Tommy will star in the production as well as “Love Thy Neighbor” actor Tony Grant.
The film will center around a prominent lawyer who’s down on his luck. He takes on an elderly client with a Civil War-era document on reparations.
“He’s the kind of attorney who stands up for what’s good, what’s right,” said Grant, who will play a FBI agent trying to keep a lawyer from pursuing the case. “He’s catching all this flak about it, and therein lies the drama.”
