Tyler Perry’s Shows Bring Record Numbers to OWN

Tyler Perry*Tyler Perry‘s shows are bringing record numbers to OWN. The network had its more watched primetime night, Wednesdays, with “The Have and Have Nots” and “If Loving You Is Wrong.”

The former was ending its second season and the latter was beginning its second season. Nevertheless, the average audience was 2.567 million, according to Deadline.

The ratings are up 5 percent from a previous primetime viewership record on Wednesday, March 11 when the channel aired the “Oprah’s Next Chapter” episode with Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina.

The season two finale of “The Have and Have Nots” pulled in 3.503 million in viewership, making it cable’s most watched show.  It’s down a small 2 percent from the 3.6 million of last year’s March 11 midseason finale.

The season two premiere of “If Loving You Is Wrong” scored 2.996 million in viewership. The premiere pushed the show up 55 percent from last year’s season one debut.
