*Billie Woodruff is set to direct comedy “Rollin’ Thunder” with Nick Cannon and Nelly as co-producers. It’s the first collaboration between Republic Records, and independent film and television studio IM Global.
“Rollin’ Thunder” focuses on an  ex-bowling-champ-turned-ex-con who enters a bowling tournament in order to make amends with a local tycoon and his estranged teenage daughter. Production will begin in Atlanta this summer, according to Indiewire.
“The evolution of Republic’s recent success has led us into this partnership with one of Hollywood’s most prolific companies, IM Global,” said Republic founder/CEO Monte Lipman.
