*Mr. T is headed back to television with his own show.
The 62-year-old star will host a new home improvement series for the DIY Network, with the title playing off of his famous catchphrase ”I pity the fool.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mr. T and his team – which includes HGTV “Design Star” winner and interior designer Tiffany Brooks – travel to a different family’s home each week and rip out their unwanted rooms to create new spaces.
The show was given a straight-to-series deal by the DIY Network and will air later this year.
It’s the latest in a string of celebrity-fronted renovation shows on DIY. The others include “The Vanilla Ice Project,” William Shatner’s “The Shatner Project” and “Rev Run’s Renovation.”
