*Kanye West was billed to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” from SXSW, but never showed up, reports Page Six.
Sources said the plan was for West to tape the show’s signature “mean tweets” segment as well as a sketch poking fun at his infamous interruptions. A set was even built in Kanye’s honor, said a spy. But Kimmel joked, “If you do not like Kanye West, make sure to tune in Friday night to not see him.”
West’s rep said, “We were never confirmed . . . We took extraordinary steps and worked directly with the show to make it happen. Logistics were insurmountable.”
A show rep said, “We look forward to having Kanye West back on the show.”
