*Wow. Who knew Amber Rose was an activist?
Hold on ’cause you might be a tad shocked at what she’s advocating. And then again, maybe you won’t.
Rose’s hyper-sexualism has been front and center and a lot of folks are not exactly appreciative of how she seems to throw it in their face. So now she’s about to deal with the issue head on.
As you know, the ex-stripper/model has been sharing pics with captions about how she doesn’t accept the double standards that exist between men and women, and now she’s taking it a step further!
All that to say Amber is organizing a Slut Walk. Yes, a Slut Walk. Hmm, now that we think about it, she’s absolutely qualified to lead the way on this issue. Here’, she explains why she’s doing it:
“My Slut Walk will be about every Woman Equality issue we deal with everyday u can walk and make signs for the issues ur passionate about. I’m in the beginning stages of putting this together but with ur help this could be an amazing liberating experience for us women. Stay tuned for more info in weeks to come. #AmberRosesSlutWalk.”
“Apparently, in some Slut Walks protesters wear very little — demonstrating to fight the idea that what women wear, what they drink or how they behave can make them a target for rape,” writes theJasmineBrand. “SlutWalks started with a local march organized by five women in Toronto and have gone viral, with events planned in more than 75 cities in countries from the United States and Canada to Sweden and South Africa.”
