*It’s official. Oprah Winfrey heard the cry of her friend Lee Daniels and has accepted his offer to appear on his TV hit “Empire” next season.
“Yes. Yeah, she’s gonna be on it,” Daniels revealed to “Access Hollywood” on Thursday night.
Winfrey’s “Selma” co-star Common will also have a guest spot during season 2.
“Common, you heard that first,” he said to the camera.
As previously reported, Daniels said he hoped to recruit Oprah Winfrey — whom he directed in 2013’s “The Butler” — to play a role on the show.
