*Citing a section of the Justice Department’s scathing report of racial bias within the Ferguson Police Department, Rudy Giuliani said former Officer Darren Wilson should be commended for shooting unarmed teenager Michael Brown in August.

During an interview on Thursday, the former New York City mayor said Wilson acted dutifully and was vindicated by the report’s findings that there was not enough evidence to conclude that Brown had his hands up before he was shot.

“What happened in Ferguson is that a man committed a robbery, attempted to assault a police officer, and the police officer — to save his life — shot him,” Giuliani told Fox News. “The police officer did his duty. The officer should be commended for what he did.”

Far from embracing the report, Giuliani attempted to cast doubt on the more damning sections, claiming that there was little evidence to prove racism within the department.

“It’s an allegation. There’s no proof yet,” Giuliani said.

The former mayor has become an outspoken defender of law enforcement in various controversial police shooting cases in the past year. He’s appeared on Fox News numerous times, defending embattled police officers and blaming violence in black communities for sparking harsh police actions. In December, the mayor implied that both Brown and Eric Garner, who was choked to death by police officers in New York City, were responsible for their own deaths because they had broken laws.

“Mr. Brown had committed at least two felonies, possibly three during that incident. So the police officer was dealing with a criminal,” Giuliani told Fox News last year. “And in [Garner’s] case, the police officer was dealing with a criminal who was resisting arrest. Maybe if Mr. Brown hadn’t committed his crimes and this gentleman hadn’t resisted arrest, they wouldn’t be dead today.”

  2. Mr Noun-Verb-9-11 forgot to praise the Ferguson Police for not requiring Wilson to file an Incident Report. That’s the single most important contributing factor to the Justice Depth not being able to answer a host of important questions. So c’mon Rudy, man-up and tell us how great you find Dereliction of Duty!

  3. Now we know who this clown Giuliani really is. Black people who voted for this impotent clown to be Mayor of the great State of NY should now hang their heads in shame. What a JERK.

  4. What 2 felonies? Stealing a box of rellos is no felony you clown! The ONLY reason the robbery turned into a so called felony was because he shoved the shop owner. Other than than it was a shoplifting incident. Whatever to this clown and the rest of the clowns like him. I’m so fed up with this sh*t. These white people have lost their minds!

  5. I know what he’s doing – he’s trying to earn credit in the history books for starting our next Civil War …or maybe he’s upset because nobody gives a damn about him enough to send him a death threat …

  6. If and in this context “If” should be given a lot of weight, the information being reported is true
it would exclude 99.9 % of the population in ferguson for the simple fact it would require night vision, a sniper rifle, a scope and lot’s of formal training to hit a target with precision at 125 feet in the dark. and it certainly don’t fit the profile of anyone suffering from relative and absolute poverty.
there is little doubt ,that the “DEVIL” is very much at work on many different fronts.

  7. Please there was proof Mike Brown surrender with his hands up, there was plenty of proof, the prosecutor didn’t want to believe the testimonies given and rhise who were at rhe scene..and as his choice and final word spoken not to charge the cop who murdered MB.. so then it didn’t happen in his racist mind as the prosecutor from a family of cops

.., ppl wake up black Ppl.. how can one white man make that decision? None of those who testified in the court presiding were proven liars on the stand, not one committed’ just that one white male prosecutor who decided MB killer’s fate, not to charge a white save his career and future life that’s how it goes PPL, whites will never be charged when killing someone black 99% of the time no matter the evidence.. we need to ramp up this injustice when ever it happens..cops are getting away with murder..literally..
