*Beast Mode is back, baby!

Looks like the Seattle Seahawks are trying to atone for not giving him the ball at the end of this past Super Bowl (49) when the New England Patriots beat the Hawks 28-24. They also know they NEED him if they want to remain competitive.

Yes folks, Mr. Marshawn Lynch a/k/a “Beast Mode,” the super star running back is returning to the Seattle Seahawks for at least 2 more NFL seasons.

Since arriving in Seattle by way of a trade with Buffalo in October 2010, Lynch has played in 75 games . During that span, he’s rushed for 5,930 yards and 54 touchdowns. In 10 postseason games for the Seahawks, he has run for 917 yards and nine touchdowns.

Since 2011, Lynch has led the NFL with 5,357 yards rushing, 48 rushing touchdowns and is the league’s only player to run for more than 1,000 yards and score at least 10 rushing touchdowns in each of the last four seasons.

As far as the deal is concerned, Lynch signed a two-year extension on Friday after meeting with Seahawks officials, including team owner Paul Allen. The extension keeps him under contract with Seattle through the 2017 season and includes a hefty increase for the 2015 season, when he will make $12 million, according to agent Doug Hendrickson. Lynch was scheduled to make $7 million for the 2015 season, reports ESPN.

Hendrickson said the deal includes an additional $24 million for the 2016 and 2017 seasons should Lynch, 28, continue his career into his 30s.

The Seahawks announced the signing Friday night, and had some fun with their star running back, who has been fined heavily for not speaking with the media in the past.
