*Michael Jordan’s bank account just surpassed the $1 billion mark.

The NBA legend is now the 513th-richest person in the United States with a net worth of an even $1.0 billion, according to reports.

The skyrocketing values of NBA franchises is the main reason for his new billionaire status. He owns the Charlotte Hornets, which saw its value increase from $410 million last year to $725 million this year in the wake of the Los Angeles Clippers’ $2 billion sale to Steve Ballmer.

Jordan’s stake in the team is worth $500 million, according to Forbes.

The rest of Jordan’s worth comes from his Nike deal, which earned him $90 million in 2013 alone.

    • exactly – every Black multimillionaire/ billionaire out there needs to come together and form a collaborative of sorts to help our Black youth, they need the best educational tools available, they need mentoring, and this needs to happen asap; we’ve lost too many of them already and we as a people cannot afford to give up on them …

  1. Congratulations to his young wife Yvette and her baby twins who was smart enough to convince him to reverse his vasectomy at the age of 50. Women are so much smarter than men. It doesn’t matter how intelligent or rich the man is.
