AARP Puts Dr. Dre On Magazine Cover For Fun For 50th Birthday

AARP Puts Dr. Dre On Magazine Cover

*Dr. Dre has entered the half-century club recently by celebrating his 50th birthday last week.

So what did the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) do to mark the occasion? They put him on the cover of their magazine, of course.

Or did they?

It seems as though the cover shot was not a real one. Although the AARP did post birthday wishes to Dre on Twitter with the cover shot, a representative for the organization confessed to XXL magazine that the cover was for fun and will not go to print.

Oh, what could’ve been.

If Dre did make the cover of AARP magazine, he would’ve been in good company. Past entertainers gracing the cover include Johnny Depp; Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz; and Bob Dylan, who gave the magazine his only interview upon the release of his new album earlier this month.
