*August Alsina found himself in a backstage brawl over the weekend at a show that was organized to promote non-violence.

The show, dubbed State Of Emergency 2, took place Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis. Proceeds from the show went to the Put Down the Pistol program.

According to TMZ…

Alsina got into it backstage with the show’s promoter, Loose Cannon Slim, after Slim got upset at Alsina for showing up late. Words were exchanged and it seemed as if it would stop there … until the punches started flying.

The video is crazy — you can see Alsina go after Slim, who got knocked to the ground. One of Alsina’s people quickly pulled him off … while Fabolous watched from a distance — holding his drink.

*Mickey Guyton has become the first Black female solo artist to earn a Grammy nomination in a country music category.

The 37-year-old singer’s “Black Like Me” song has been nominated for Best Country Solo Performance. The Pointer Sisters previously made history with the song, “Live Your Life Before You Die,” when it was nominated in 1976 for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

After the nominations were announced last week, Guyton shared an emotional video about her historic nomination.

“Honestly still can’t believe this happened yesterday,” she captioned the clip (see below).

“I haven’t been able to put into words the emotions I feel right now. I have been hitting the pavement for so long just trying to get an opportunity to be heard. And now here I am nominated for a Grammy!” Guyton continued. “I feel seen. I feel heard. I am a living testament that you should never give up on yourself. You never know what God has waiting for you around the corner.”

“This Grammy nomination is for every black girl that felt unseen. That felt unheard. That felt unloved. That felt like they weren’t enough. That felt unpretty. That felt shoved in a corner and completely unconsidered. This is for them,” she added.

In September, Guyton became the first Black woman to perform at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

“That phrase, ‘You see it, you can be it’ really rings true, and I just — standing here for other women of color, it means the world to me,” she said. “That’s why I’m here,” she told ET at the ACM Awards.

Fun fact: Guyton is one of the original members of 3LW. Her former bandmate Adrienne Houghton had nothing but praise for her during a recent conversation on “The Real,” about the 2021 Grammy nominees.

“When I got my first record deal, when Tommy Mottola signed me to Epic, the original members of my group actually had a girl named Mickey Guyton in it – she was the original member of 3LW, and she is now this incredible country artist that just got nominated as well. Saw this woman in tears – Mickey Guyton, amazing – she’s actually the original member of 3LW! Fun fact, everybody! She’s the one that got the record deal with us,” Houghton shared.

The track comes a month after  Wayne endorsed Trump’s re-election. He took to social media in October to  share that he spoke to #POTUS about the Platinum Plan for Black Americans and providing the community with real ownership.

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done. 🤙🏾” he tweeted.

Weezy says he had a great meeting with Trump and shared a photo of them smiling together with thumbs up. He said at the time that  he’s endorsing Trump based on his track record on criminal justice reform, and he’s excited about Trump’s Platinum Plan.

Wayne believes it will “give the community real ownership.”

Trump’s Platinum Plan would pump $500 billion into Black communities, and provide better access to equitable education and jobs.

Lil Wayne was recently charged with a felony stemming from an old case where his private jet got searched.

“wait a minute Trump still got 63 days left, call him Wayne. get that fool on the phone. They gonna try to put you in jail for supporting trump. 😳 ,” 50 Cent captioned a photo of a headline about the case.

Ralph also talks about his appearance on the series A Closer Look on UMC and how the classic song “Candy Girl” had to be changed because of him.

Garcelle Beauvais: The last time we saw the entire group together was in 2017 when New Edition received a star on The Walk of Fame. Wil there be another reunion soon? We need you guys back! Will there be a reunion? Let us know!

Ralph Tresvant: We’re in talks. Everyone is talkin’.

Johnny Gill: Well, you know, it’s not even gonna be a reunion. It’s– it’s just– we’re happy to say that, uh, we’ve done 37 years and we’ve always had our issues and battles. Everyone knows. If you’re siblings and have friends, and we go through ups and downs. But, God has kept us here for over 30-something plus years, and that’s how we’ve been able to get through the process of doing what we do. Yes, there will absolutely be a New Edition– it won’t be a reunion because it’s all six of us coming back strong. But, it’s gonna be as it has always been, it’s gonna be New Edition. And, um, we’re ready to rock. Just lookin’ at some things and we might– you’re probably gonna hear from us sooner than later. Very soon. Hopefully.

Garcelle: Oh! That’s some good news! We’ll take you however we can get you.

(Everyone chuckles)

Garcelle: Johnny, you say that one day we might even see New Edition on tour with another group of guys from Boston. I know who I’m thinking of.  Do tell.

Johnny: New Kids on the Block. Let me tell you, we love those guys and Cheese, his name is Donnie Wahlberg, but that’s my twin. We call each other “twins”. We’ve all been talkin’ for years about trying to get together to do something and maybe tour together. And I think that’s gonna happen at some point, so…

Adrienne Houghton: So dope.

Johnny: We’ve been really pushing that and hopin’ at some point we’re gonna pull it together for a New Edition and New Kids… I think people would love that.
