Florida Man Invites Cops to Watch Him Beat Daughter to Avoid Child Abuse Charges

*Did you know that it is legal to physically abuse your child in the state of Florida? So Florida police thought nothing of it when the father of a pre-teen  did what he thought was the lawful way to discipline his child — call them over to watch him do it.

The unnamed dad wanted to beat his 12-year-old daughter for fighting with her sister. But he didn’t want the assault to land him in jail for child abuse, so he put a call in to the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office to oversee the whipping.

If you think that’s a tad strange. Check this: They came. They saw. They gave him the thumbs up and left.

  1. The first line of the article reads: “Did you know that it is legal to physically abuse your child in the state of Florida?”
    This cannot be true. There is no U.S. state where it is legal to physically abuse your child. Physical discipline or physical punishment… okay. But that is very different from abuse. Child protection laws make abuse illegal.
    On another note, next time his daughter better not fight if she doesn’t want another spanking.
