Online Music Series ‘Skyville Live’ Launches January 14, 2015

*Music City’s reputation for taking some of the world’s greatest music directly to fans is about to take another step forward. Beginning in January 2015, “Skyville Live” provides music lovers with an unprecedented new online music series, bringing together today’s hottest stars and emerging new artists in a unique and interactive way.

“Skyville Live’s” first episode airs live from Nashville on Wednesday, January 14 at 8 P.M. ET, via SkyvilleLive.com. The episode features performances from three of the world’s most powerful voices —  the one and only ‘Empress of Soul’ Gladys Knight,  country superstar Martina McBride, and Grammy Award-winning British pop /R&B songstress, Estelle.

“Skyville Live” is one of those ideas that kind of grows itself, like the mountain stream that eventually becomes the Mississippi,” says Wally Wilson, the show’s creator and executive producer. “Luck and timing are essential in show biz, and it appears that “Skyville Live”  has both. There have been many great concerts streamed on the net, but to my knowledge, there has never been a network-quality program featuring major artists that has appeared on the Internet first. Now, at the dawn of the era of ‘smart TV,’  “Skyville Live” has come along to change that.”

All episodes of “Skyville Live” will feature major national and international stars and up-and-coming artists from every genre of music, performing songs that made them famous, sharing the vocals and sharing personal stories behind the music, and interacting with the live audience around the world. “Skyville Live” has no musical boundaries, crossing all musical styles from country to hip-hop to pop and all stops in between.  In addition to the musical magic being made in the intimate setting, the show will also allow people from around the world to communicate directly with the artists being featured in each unique streaming event.

“Skyville Live” takes pride in presenting the past, the present and the future of music. It is a place where some of the world’s most popular artists can sit in with icons of music, their musical mentors and fulfill a dream.

As a tireless performer who has won countless awards and still wows audiences around the world, Gladys Knight has enjoyed record-breaking success in Pop, Gospel, R&B and Adult Contemporary, and has also triumphed in film, television and live performance. Gladys Knight & The Pips were inducted into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. Her latest project, Where My Heart Belongs, is a new inspiration gospel album that was released earlier this year.

No stranger to the stage, Martina McBride is a four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and three-time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year while selling more than 18 million albums. Her latest project, Everlasting, features iconic sounds of the 50s and 60s.

Estelle is one of our most celebrated pop and R&B acts, with a string of chart-topping hits and platinum-selling albums. Hailing from the U.K., she is a Grammy Award winner who has collaborated with many of the world’s most famous artists, including John Legend, will.i.am and Kanye West. Her fourth studio album, True Romance, which includes the radio hit “Conqueror,” is slated for release February 17, 2015.

Executive producers for “Skyville Live”are Wally Wilson, Dan Bean and Tisha Fein. Wilson is a successful music publisher, songwriter and producer. He owns Skyline Music Publishing with his partner Paul Worley.
