*A carbon monoxide leak sent 30 children and teenagers to area hospitals after they got sick during a church choir rehearsal in Des Moines, Iowa.

According to a Chicago Tribune report, a generator used during church functions caused the sickness during a three-hour choir practice.

Hospital officials said everyone was treated and released with no long-lasting effects from the gas.

Des Moines police said the building has been ventilated and should cause no further incidents.

Carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that can cause headaches, nausea, dizziness and other symptoms. Inhaling high levels can cause death.
