WHITNEY'S NJ MANSION UP FOR SALE: Asking price is $2.5 mil for five-bedroom spread.

     *Whitney Houston has placed her New Jersey home on the market for $2.5 million – a steal, considering it's less than half of its assessed value, according to the Philadelphia Enquirer.

      Earlier we quoted People.com's report which said the listing was $5.6 million.        

       The five-bedroom, 12,561-sq.-ft. Menham, N.J., home is described by the real-estate website where it's listed as modern-styled home full of natural light and containing "circular-themed interior spaces," as well as a four-car garage, three fireplaces, walk-in closets, a bar and skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows.     

      The Coldwell Banker website also estimates a buyer would have monthly mortgage payments of $10,819 based on a down payment of $500,000 and a 5 percent interest rate on a 30-year, $2 million mortgage.  

       It's also the house where she married her ex-husband Bobby Brown. The couple divorced in 2007 after a notoriously abusive relationship.
