NOW AT 'EUR THIS N THAT' BLOG: The BET Awards Are Over Yet They Get Worse(July 3, 2009)
*The latest reports on the phenomenally horrible 2009 BET Awards have focused on the use of the little girls on stage during Lil Wayne and Drake's set for "Every Girl". The song was riddled with so much inappropriate language for young one's and young girls specifically that they damn near bleeped out almost all of Lil Wayne's lines (they could've used that during Eddie Levert's speech) at one point. But the interesting twist to the girls being on stage was the fact that one of them was reportedly Lil Wayne's daughter, Reginae. But, she couldn't go on stage alone, according to the report on SOHH.com, the little girls were her friends. At any rate, the language used in the song led one to believe that Lil Wayne couldn't possibly spend much time with his daughter to objectify her and her friends this way. Read MORE including the horrible and despicable lyrics, HERE. PLUS: Dishin' Dirt on LeToya, Beyonce, and more⦠*Beyonce done came out and addressed the rumors about getting LeToya Luckett banned from performing at the BET Awards. According to my sources Bey said that folks were straight lying on her and that she ain't do a darn thing. LeToya on the other hand didn't know if it was true or not. She issued a statement saying, "Everybody (who performed at the event) works hard and we all have something different to offer, from Keyshia (Cole) to Keri (Hilson) to Bey (Knowles), everybody is different in their own ways so it saddens me if that's true, and I hope that's not the case." Side Bar-I know one thing, LeToya was slated to appear on the main stage and ended up performing on the 106 & Park stage with the up and coming artist. Y'all do the math. Nuff said ...
