The nation is crying the words of the song "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" as the gospel artist who sings it lies in a hospital bed recovering from a head-on collision.

Reverend Timothy Wright remains in critical, but stable condition following the car crash that claimed the lives of his wife, Betty, and grandson, "D.J.," on Pennsylvania Highway I-80 last weekend.

Wright, the lone survivor, is clinging to life after experiencing a collapsed lung and several broken bones.  The pastor had a successful surgery Sunday and is aware of his surroundings but unable to speak.

According to family sources, in addition to the collapsed lung, "his right ankle was broken, his left leg was broken in three places, one lung collapsed and broken ribs and two small fractures in his neck that will heal on their own. He's steadily getting better each day."

News of this double tragedy overwhelmed one of the Wright's five sons, 29-year-old David, who suffered a mild heart attack.

Betty Wright, the deceased, wrote the Stellar award nominated "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" an inspirational song that encourages victims of Hurricane Katrina to depend on Jesus as they cope with tragedy.

Now, the Wright family, their church and millions touched by their music ministry desperately need encouragement and our prayers.

Minister Phillip C. Culver, Personal Administrator to Rev. Timothy Wright provided this statement: "The Wright family have [sic] suffered a tragedy and are grieving for their loved ones.  They appreciate all of the support from everyone.  We just ask that everyone keep the family in their prayers.   Pastor Wright is critical but stable." - The Wright Family

No arrangements have been made at this time for Evangelist Betty J. Wright & "D.J." Wright.  Although the Rev. is aware of the passing of his grandson, Wright has been asking for his wife, but the family has decided not to tell him about her loss until he is "ready to hear it," Fox News in New York reports.
