Inspired by the Book of Esther in the Old Testament, Who Do You Love? stars Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Erica Campbell (Mary Mary) and a cast of 12.

Set in a modern church on the brink of becoming a 'mega' phenomenon - Who Do You Love? is a contemporary re-telling of the historic and heroic tale of courage and purpose - revealing social issues and challenges the   church faces today.

The talented ensemble also includes Jeris Poindexter (Akeelah and the Bee), radio personality Romeo of KDAY (one of the "Goodfellas"), and the anointed voice of Edna Tatum (host Gospel Classics on KPFK Sunday 6-9 a.m.) in the role of Radio Announcer.

"I've seen a lot of urban theater," says Campbell, one of gospel music's most beloved vocalists and a co-composer on the production.   "Who Do You Love? stands far above artistically, musically and spiritually, I can't wait until people see it, and more than that, I'm glad to be a part of it!"   Audience members may enjoy a Mary Mary favorite, but will be first to hear new music by Erica, including the heart-warming Whatsoever Things based upon Philippians 4:8.

When Hadassah St. James arrives in this new city to stay with her Uncle Mo, she embarks upon a journey of a lifetime.   As she acclimates to a new church, Bethel, she soon discovers the Pastor's recent divorce and worldly business acumen has landed the church in a heap of mess.

St. James must find a way to put away her past, and find a way around falling in love with the Reverend who seemingly holds the future of the congregation in the palm of his hand.   As the church decides whether to grow, or rather, how to grow, Hadassah St. James must decide whether or notto take a stand for the Church or to walk away from the fight of faith.

"This story is about the challenges we face as the Church, both corporately and as individual members of the body of Christ," reflects playwright Shaunda Erikka.   "It's about the great mystery of love and marriage.  It's also about social issues and the history of the relationship between church and state within the context of black communities.we are all called for a purpose" expressed the passionate playwright.  "God has commanded us all, and ultimately we all have to choose the extent to which we will travel to answer the call."

Directed by Iona Morris, the book is written by Shaunda Erikka, with lyrics by Shaunda Erikka, Erica Campbell, Windy Barnes Farrell and Darrell Alston. Windy Barnes Farrell serves as co-Composer and Musical Director.
