Martin Luther King Week Roundtable on Black and Latino Hate Crimes When: Saturday, January 6, 11:00AM Where: Lucy Florence Coffeehouse, 3351 E. 43rd St., L.A. In its recent annual report on hate crimes in L.A. County, the L.A. County Human Relations Commission reported a sharp jump in hate crimes in L.A. Worse, the majority of hate crimes are now committed by Latinos and blacks. And even more disturbing, blacks and Latinos commit the overwhelming majority of hate crimes against each other. Participants: Moderator: The Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable is one of L.A.'s leading Multi-Ethnic think tank organization that promotes civic engagement through community forums featuring top policy makers, community leaders, and activists on today's critical issues.
