DIDDY EXPLAINS NAMES OF HIS TWIN GIRLS: Mogul posts video message on his MySpace page.
He's also targeted by Humane Society for using dog fur on his Sean John jackets
*Sean “Diddy” Combs felt the need to post a video message to his MySpace page explaining the names of his new set of twin girls with girlfriend Kim Porter.
The former model, 36, gave birth to 5 pound Jessie James and 5 pound, 4 ounce D'Lila Star, at 7:56 am Thursday morning in New York City's Mount Sinai hospital. Combs said the couple decided to name the children in honor of Porter's grandmother, Lila Star, and the rapper's grandmother, Jessie Smalls.
"In honor of the two people to have incredibly impacted me and Kim's lives, we're proud to announce that we are naming the twins after our beloved grandmothers,” said Diddy, dressed in hospital scrubs. (See footage below.)
The couple, who originally dated in the mid-1990s before reuniting again in 2003, also share a 10-year-old son, Christian. Porter is also a mother to son Quincy, from her relationship with singer Al B. Sure, while Combs has a 13-year-old son Justin, whose mother is his ex, stylist Misa Hylton-Brim.
In other Diddy news, the Bad Boy founder has been targeted by the Humane Society for allegedly using dog fur on jackets from his fashion line, reports TMZ.com.
A hooded jacket in the Sean John line was found to be using fur from a canine species called a raccoon dog, even though it was advertised as having an "imitation rabbit fur collar" and other materials called "faux fur."
Diddy said that the jacket would be removed from store shelves and will hence forth be made with faux fur trim only.
