*Halle Berry returns to familiar ground on People magazine’s new "100 Most Beautiful People" list. The actress joins Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Kirstie Alley, Ryan Seacrest, Matt Leinart and Angelina Jolie, who graces the cover of the special issue, due on newsstands today. The Fugees’ Wyclef Jean, who has worked with Jolie on relief efforts in Haiti, said of the actress: "She looks the most beautiful when she's in the field — natural, no makeup, nothing. Because you see Angelina, the angel. It doesn't get any better than that."

*Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez graces the cover of People En Espanol's annual "50 Most Beautiful" issue, on newsstands Monday. The 37-year-old Bronx-native tells the magazine: "I've never tried to hide the fact that I'm Latina. I think that's why Hispanics are like ‘she's ours ... she belongs to us.’ And that's true; with the Latino community, I am theirs, I do belong to them." Others on People En Espanol's “Most Beautiful” list include Eva Longoria, Ricky Martin, Shakira, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes and Daddy Yankee.

*To promote the upcoming film “Color of the Cross,” BlackChristianMovies.com says it chose to display a live “Black Jesus on the Cross” at the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles. The film stars Jean-Claude Le Marre as a black Jesus in the last 48 hours of his life. Debbie Morgan portrays Mary in the Nu-Lite Entertainment film, which has former First AME Rev. Cecil "Chip" Murray as one of its producers and is set to arrive in theaters this fall. The producers chose to depict Jesus’ crucifixion with an all-black cast “to challenge Conservative Christian beliefs"; and selected the Azusa Street Revival’s Centennial Celebration to present their live black crucifix because “the cultural diversity of the festival is in alignment with the inspiration of the film,” Nu-Lite said in a statement.

*TMZ.com has gone the extra “green” mile in detailing the new digs of Michelle Rodriguez, who chose jail time over community service in a recent DUI case. The star of ABC’s “Lost” is serving a five-day bid at Hawaii’s Oahu Community Correctional Center, a military style dorm that holds 60 other women, the Web site reports. Warden Nolan Espinda told TMZ: "We will treat her like anybody else. Miss Rodriguez will sleep in a bunk bed, wear the brown two-piece correctional uniform and will get out of bed at 6.30 a.m. with lights-out at 9.30 p.m.”

*The National Urban League has named entrepreneur Farrah Gray, congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. and “Apprentice” winner Dr. Randal Pinkett among its list of the most influential black men in America. The tally appears in the April/May 2006 issue of Urban Influence Magazine features, the Urban League’s official publication.
