*The man responsible for the Crazy Frog craze that hit the U.K. last year has been hired by Michael Jackson to be his new manager as well as oversee the singer’s new record label.

Guy Holmes, chairman of Gut Records, took the new gigs after meeting with Jackson in Bahrain, where the superstar has been living since his acquittal of child molestation charges last June. Holmes will manage Jackson's business interests, and serve as the new CEO of Two Seas Records, the label Jackson founded with Bahrain ruler Sheik Abdulla Hamad Al-Khalifa.

Jackson has signed an exclusive recording agreement with the Bahrain-based label and is said to be working on a new album due for release in “late 2007.”

"I am incredibly excited about my new venture and I am enjoying being back in the studio making music," Jackson, 47, said in a statement.

Holmes, who will remain chairman of Gut Records, has been credited with orchestrating Tom Jones' 1999 comeback via the singer’s “Reload” album and its hit single, “Sex Bomb.” The U.K. music exec has also released music from Tears For Fears, the Wildhearts, Sparks, Fannypack and Aswad. But Holmes’ biggest success was last spring’s massive U.K. hit, “Axel F” and its top-selling ringtone, sung by an animated character named Crazy Frog.

In other MiJac news, the alternate juror on his child molestation case ended up selling his notebooks on eBay last weekend, despite his statements from wife that he was taking them off the auction block.

According to Fox411.com’s Roger Friedman, Jeffrey Welbaum’s notes taken during the trial were bought for $2,550 by 26-year-old Vincent Amen, who just so happens to be the man from Jackson’s trial whom prosecutors tried to prove held the accuser’s family against their will at Jackson’s request.

Friedman writes, “Amen received immunity from the prosecution, if you recall, and then they couldn’t put him on the stand because he corroborated all of the defense theories.”

In still more MiJac news, the King of Pop made bostonphoenix.com’s list of the world’s most unsexiest men. Comedian Gilbert Gottfried topped the tally, while Osama bin Laden came in at No. 8. Jerry Seinfeld, Ron Howard, Clay Aiken and Kevin Federline were also among the unnsexiest. BostonPhoenix.com bills itself as having the most comprehensive arts-and-entertainment listings in New England.
