MIAMI -- No rap group (save, perhaps, N.W.A) has stirred more controversy or provoked more heated debate than the 2 Live Crew. Nearly two decades later, hip-hop's original bad boy and 2 Live Crew front man is still too live for TV and retail shelves.

Censored by pundits again, major retailers have threatening not to carry his upcoming album, Uncle Luke - My Life & Freaky Times, unless songs titles, packaging, and lyrical content are made more suitable for their shelves.  A retailer who preferred not to be identified said, "This album pushes the barometer for parental advisory with titles that allude to things of sexual nature that we know will receive major backlash." The manufacturing plant also refused to work on this project.

Luther Campbell sparked controversy over a decade ago when his former group 2 Live Crew pissed off Tipper Gore and the rest of the Washington wives crusading against obscenity on music with their record As Nasty As They Wanna Be, which prompted his hit parody, "Banned In The U.S.A." The furor over the graphic sexual content of 2 Live Crew's X-rated party rhymes and racy shows got them banned from clubs while their lyrics -- specifically their 1989 album As Nasty as They Wanna Be - ignited a media frenzy and was a major catalyst behind the creation of the Parental Advisory sticker.

After hearing from his distributor, UBO, that he's once again being censored by pundits, Luther Campbell had this to say, "All I can say is here we go again.  After my landmark victory with the Supreme Court, I would think that our right to freedom of expression as artists has been preserved.  This audio book is my life and I've always raised the bar and broken the rules. I raised the bar when I formed Luke Records, the first ever African-American owned and operated hip-hop record label in 1983, I raised the bar when I went up against the Supreme Court for our right of artistic freedom of expression. This audio book is more than a tell-all audio book of freaky stories, it's about my life and career."

The 2 CD audio book and music compilation album chronicles his freakiest escapades, steamy stories about singer, celebs, and chronicles milestones in Luther Campbell's life. The 23-track music compilation dubbed Don Of All Don's - The Soundtrack features guest appearances from Trick Daddy, Pitbull, Jacki-O, Petey Pablo, Rick Ross, Dirtbag and more.   The CD's first single "Holla At Cha Homeboy" featuring Uncle Luke, Pitbull, and Petey Pablo has already hit radio airways while the B-side "Pop That," featuring Plan B and Reychester Secretweapon is in heavy rotation on reggaeton leaning stations.
