*Kevin Hart has joined the CBS comedy pilot "The Weekend," starring as one of three male friends whose social lives revolve around Saturdays and Sundays. The actor was most recently seen on Showtime’s "Barbershop" series, but will go down in history as the man who took top billing in the feature film, “Soul Plane.”

*In the new issue of Allure magazine, Eva Longoria says her grandmother has no idea that she’s dating a black man, and according to her mother, would not approve of the relationship if she ever found out.  The “Desperate Housewives” star wanted to send Grandma a calendar of her man’s NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs, but then her mother stepped in and advised against it. "She said, 'You can't give Grandma a calendar. She doesn't know Tony's black.' I said, 'We'll just tell her he's French.'"

*Longoria, meanwhile, is rumored to have joined an as-yet-untitled film written by Jennifer Lopez. According to Sky News Showbiz, the stars will play sisters, both Hollywood stars, who have a falling out and begin trashing each other in the press. Cameras are scheduled to begin rolling in September.

*On Thursday (March 23) at 9 p.m., BET will premiere the hour-long event “Rip the Runway,” hosted by LL Cool J, Gabrielle Union and comedian Katt Williams.  The show, taped in New York City, features urban, high-end, plus size, sports and swimwear collections from designers Brand Jordan, Todd Smith, G-Unit, Enyce, Stephen Burrows, Bathhouse by Bernard Moore, Roger Gary presents Aqua Couture, Qristy Designs, Monif C., Courtney Washington, Steve Harvey and even the latest dental line "grillz" from Paul Wall. Working the catwalk will be singer Mya, NFL star Terrell Owens, supermodel Omahyra, “America's Next Top Model” discovery Toccara and BET's own Big Tigger and Julissa.

       * The 2006 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will premiere on VH1 tonight (March 21) at 9 p.m. The induction of Miles Davis during last week’s ceremony included a musical tribute from jazz great Herbie Hancock. The artist put together an all star jazz band with Mike Stern, Marcus Miller, Buster Williams, Jack DeJohnette, Wallace Roney and Paul Shaffer to perform a medley of Miles Davis classics "In A Silent Way," "Tutu" and "Jean Pierre."

*“Good Times” was honored at the fourth annual TV Land Awards: A Celebration of Classic TV Sunday night (March 19) with the network’s Impact Award, given to a program that offered both entertainment and enlightenment, always striving for both humor and humanity, with comedy that reflected reality. Quentin Tarantino presented this award to John Amos, Jimmy "JJ" Walker, Ja'net Dubois, BernNadette Stanis, Johnny Brown and Ralph Carter. TV Land awarded its “TV’s Greatest Music Moment” to Diana Ross for her Concert in Central Park. The ceremony will air on TV Land Wednesday, March 22 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/PT.

*See what all the fuss is about on April 4, when the DVD of “Brokeback Mountain” finally arrives in stores. Special features on the $29.98 disc include a profile of Oscar-winning director Ang Lee and interviews with Oscar-winning screenwriters Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana. Oscar-nominated stars Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal also discuss the rodeo and wrangling training they had to prepare for their roles as the amorous cowboys.

*So what’s the hold up with OutKast’s new musical film “Idlewild?” Big Boi of the group is blaming the delay on the music. "What happened was it usually takes me and Dre a couple of years to get the music right. When we first started the movie we didn't really have a whole lot of the music done. And a lot of the music came after the movie. We had a couple of songs but now whether to rush it and to put out something not complete. We chose to wait." The film, starring the rap duo as struggling performers, is now due in theaters on Aug. 25.
