*Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter has signed a lease deal to open three of his 40/40 Club sports lounges in Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong by the end of 2007.

Since launching the first 40/40 Club in New York City on June 20, 2003, Jigga Man and co-owners Juan Perez and Desiree Gonzalez have expanded the franchise to include spots in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Singapore.

Perez is the founder of Baseline Studios, and Gonzalez is a business veteran in Miami’s club industry.

All of their 40/40 Club venues feature such sports memorabilia as framed autographed jerseys, and plasma televisions showing sporting events. The 15,000 sq foot Atlantic City site, which opened October 25, 2005, cost about $3 million to build.
