Comment: What a mess! Just when we assumed this case had been, somewhat resolved, now the nephew is suspect? Just one more thing to send Kanye over the edge, which might explain why he was acting so bizarre at the AMA show; talking about how he's going to be bigger than Elvis???? Oh, and what's this about the nephew attending a baby shower. In all my experiences of attending baby showers, I never saw any men in attendances, as those things usually are of no interest to them. Oh well, just thinking out loud. Lord have mercy!

Comment: " The source also says investigators are looking into the possibility that Scoggins administered too much Vicodin in a short period of time." -- Everything is not what it seems, huh?!! I'm wondering if this is true, what was Mr. Scoggins' reason for administering the amount that he did? My heart goes out the family. I know they need their questions answers, but are we ready for the truth?

Comment: Plain sad. Donda had no business even going under the knife, because nothing was wrong with her. Regardless, if she was all that bandaged up, she should have been in the hospital. I hold the Dr., if he could be called that, fully responsible.

Comment: Mothership, some people leave the hospital AMA (against medical advice). No one, not even a doctor can force a patient to receive care at their facility or any other for that matter. It's just very sad that this woman can't rest in peace because of all the scrutiny surrounding her death. If the nephew did administer too much Vicodin (which isn't THAT strong I would say, having work in the medical field for 7+ years), they need to check his nurse's notes (ALL nurses are required to chart on their patients' condition every few hours), and if it is found that he did something wrong, then his nursing license should be revoked.

Comment: Although Mrs. West would have done well to have stayed in the hospital for post-op treatment, especially considering her heart ailment, nurse dude is up the creek without a paddle.

Comment: Joanie, are you sure Kanye said he wanted to be bigger than Elvis? I watched his segment and I don't recall him saying anything of that nature.

Comment: This is NOT new news. Shortly after Donda's death, there was an article, posted here, where a woman who had also been treated by the Dr. had agreed to meet Donda before the surgery. The two struck up a friendship and the woman, not a nurse, agreed to stay with her after the surgery, along with the nurse nephew and another family friend. I believe she was the one who called 911. Anyway, in the article, she gave the same story about the nephew going AWOL and being unreachable by phone, leaving her and the other friend to deal with Donda's deteriorating condition. Oddly enough, she claimed the West family seemed to blame her and gave a pass to the nephew. The woman seemed sincere but many on this board were very harsh in their comments about her.

Comment: To comment on a previous post regarding the nephew attending a baby shower; is this possibly the cousin who Kanye found out who was gay? Also, being a patient with chronic arthritis and back pain, I have been prescribed Vicodin (the strongest dosage) if the pain becomes unbearable, but was advised to take with caution because of my blood pressure. So those are some serious allegations. I agree, I hate to see this go on and on because I strongly believe that boy hasn't dealt with it given his nutty behavior even after the mom passing. And ReginaBio1...having worked in the medical field 12 years myself, you're right, NO ONE can make a patient stay or receive further treatment. They can only advise.

Comment: @JudgeJoanieInLA
of course you don't see men in attendance at baby showers.
Mr Scoggins is a gay man. He teaches nursing class in LA. And hes open with him being gay.

Comment: Ok, if the nephew was AWOL and Mrs. West's condition was worsening why did it take either of the other two people who were with her so long to call the paramedics?!? Why wait and try to contact the nephew when they could have easily called the paramedics and got her to a hospital? I mean I don't if that would have made a difference or not but it wouldn't have hurt.
