Comment: See these are the kinds of stories that need to come out about Obama. It is very humble of him to have given up the 6 and 7 figure salary he could have received fresh out of Harvard to go back to Chicago to contiue what he started. That's great dedication, considering he had all of those classic circumstances that could have motivated him to do otherwise, including riding around in a car with a hole in the floor.

Comment: I agree but in order to see change, we can't shoot people in the hood down and criticizing instead we need to implement some dialogue and some programs so that these kids are mentored and shown another view of life. As far as these grown ones, the mentality if sometimes far extreme to change because they feel hopeless and thrown away from society.

Comment: A good first step would be for there to be more than 19 comments for a story on something positive. I read this board all the time and there are some people that have pretty good things to say. Some are here on this thread commenting; however, most are not. I actually belive there would be more comments here if the story was about him "coming out", or something silly like that. And no, he is not gay.

Most have used all the adjectives I would use to describe what I know about him: Smart, attractive, positive, etc. But (I'm not Mas90, lol), I have to admit, the gay thing about him has crossed my mind once or twice. A while back I heard he was dating Gabrielle Union, then that turned out to be exaggerated, they're just friends. Other than that, I've never heard of him linked to anyone else, which of course I know doesn't mean anything, but he's 43 and smart and attractive and...so the thought did cross my mind once or twice. (Sorry, just being honest).
