Comment: My coworker said this is the reason why she didn't vote for President elect Obama, she didn't wanted to be responsible for him getting killed. I told her Barack knew the risk running for POTUS and the risk would be even greater if he won which I'm glad he did. Surely no one should be surprise reading this article we knew it was coming, this is what racist do and they've had this race divided vision for how long now? If something happens to Barack while he's office, we won't turn the other cheek it's a new day! Comment: We knew President-elect Obama would have this kind of trouble. And I truly believe that what we will see is a return of 'domestic terrorism'. The Timothy McVeigh's and that Waco creep, who freak out over some imagined government slight(only when Dems are in power) and either bomb federal buildings or do something so bad that the federal gov't has to come in and shoot them down. And as for White Supremacists...they are the biggest retards around. Really, what stopped them from 'starting a race war' before? I mean really and truly, what stopped them? Hmmm...poor planning, stupidity...they have to know that their sites are being monitored. They see black people in their soup AND in their dreams. And those creeps that have been caught for attempting something on President-elect Obama, were too poor and stupid to afford bus fair to get to their targets. The dumb azzes that send death threat letters to Obama thinking that he is the one actually looking at them...pathetic. I will say this: I do agree with the poster that said that the people we should be worried about are the ones that hide behind the cloak of law enforcement, or a 'cloak' of anything, where we think they can be trusted to do what's right. If something bad happens, God forbid, it would come from an area that we least expect.

I've told my 15-year-old daughter to make sure her cell phone is fully charged before she leaves home for school every day and to call 911 if she finds herself caught up in something like this and THEN call me second. She told me about a (white) girl in one of her classes who is now saying to her "I'm gonna punch you in the face." She said she told the girl, "I don't understand. You were okay last week, and now you want to punch me in the face?" I want to find that girl's mother soooooo bad and tell her, "Rein your little bytch in, because if she lays so much as a FINGER on my child, there's going to be trouble.

History tells us if racists of this sort are given just a slap on the wrist---or not dealt with at all---that simply encourages them to ratchet things up. A case in point of the right apparoch was the college football player in Texas who hoisted racist verbage about Obama on his MySpace page after Obama's win: he was promptly dropped from the team and his scholarship was revoked. If a race riot pops off in my neighborhood, unless the National Guard tanks get there quick, I'll be going down because it's 95% white. But as a Chicago journalist whose name I can't recall said to Southern Blacks around the turn of the (20th) century, "If you must die, take two or three of them with you."
