Comment: DOLEMITE WILL NEVER DIE!!!!! I remember his badly made movies with a smile. Corny-cult-classics, I loved them all. There is a catalogue on "goldmedalhair.com" where you can get all the oldskool movies, music, hair products etc. I'm sure there are others, but just thought I let y'all know the one I knew about.

Comment: I could practically quote Signifying Monkey word for word when I was around 10. My older brother who was in HS at the time would play his records when our parents wasn't home. One of his friends would be on the look out for the car pulling up lol. RIP

Comment: His death won't make top news because he was not maintstream enough. You know White America never got him. Plus you can't trump the passing of Levi Stubbs from The Four Tops and "Mr. Blackwell", the fashion critic.

Comment: Dolemite was not mainstream. Dee Dee passing was problem mentioned because her sister is a living Legend. However, I have not seen Dee Dee name on anything.

Comment: go to yahoo.com Dee Dee is one of the first stories you see on the entertainment page
she had a powerful voice
she sang with soul
no she wasn't more famous than her sister but she was a performer in her own right

Comment: I look at Yahoo all day. I see it under Entertainment. I thought it was on the front page. Levi Stubbs a legend was on the front page. I still think she was mentioned because her siter Dionne is a living legend. But Dolemite... I wouldn't have known who he was if I didn't see Robin Harris (Chi-town)do a bit about Dolemite.
