Comment: There was a wonderful tribute to Bernie on Larry King Live last night. DL, Cedric, Steve, Aston Kutcher, and the Bernie Mac show family were present. The clips of Bernie brought tears to my eyes.

Comment: ....Yo, I thought the Larry King tribute to Bernie was well done...They had the Kings as well as his TV family...With all the sh1t happening in the world...I was pleasantly suprised that CNN would devote an entire hour...Camille has grown to be a very attractive young woman...Kelita is still sexy...Jordan..I can see Bernie tryna toughen him up..."C'mon son, you ain't special are you?'...baby gurl was so cute on the show...I mean the Bernie Mac show...Too bad we're not gonna see his sitcom...Can somebody elaborate on the Steve Harvey, Bernie beef?...What was amazing was that all the Kings had TV shows and can pretty much call their own shots...Now when is BET or TV one gonna do their tribute?...I'm sure it's in the works...right?

Comment: Hey B00T, I feel ya bro. The tribute was pretty fly. I remember when I first saw Camille Winbush. She was just a little girl in the movie Ghostdog with Forest Whitaker. And then later with Arnold Schwarzennegar in Eraser. She truly has grown into a fly young lady. I liked the interaction and chemistry they had on the BMS. Hopefully, TV One will have a tribute. I wouldn't hold out on BET though...

Comment: LUKE_CAGE>yeah, i'm with ya on that one. i can see TVone doing a trib more than BET. Bernie Mac was not a rapper so he won't be televised on their network anytime soon. i miss you to Bernie. you was such a handsome guy! reminded me of my daddy.

Comment: The show last night was AWESOME! It brought tears to my eyes. Does anyone know if the "beef" between Bernie and Steve (or should I say Steve and Bernie) was ever resolved?? I think it was SOUR GRAPES on Steve's part at Bernie's success to be honest with you. Was it me or did Steve seem a tad bit uncomfortable last night on Larry King? Like he was afraid Larry might bring up the beef between the two of them?? I know Bernie was mad looking down at DL, then he smiled... at Cedric... then he smiled again, then he looks at Steve and said, "That sum ma ma B*TCH!"

Comment: >Bad_Kitty- I'm glad it wasn't just me! I could sense the tension between Steve and Larry, and between Steve, DL and Ced. A couple of times when Steve was talking, the camera caught DL and Ced with a "whatever" look on their faces. >BOOT- as far as I can tell, the beef between Steve and Bernie came about when Steve tried to pull a "back door" move and get a part in a movie that Bernie was up for. I don't know the part or what movie or what became of it, but that's the story. (Other posters to come, please correct me if I'm wrong...) I also believe that they eventually kissed and made up, but you know the relationship was never the same after that.

Comment: Closet_Nerd_Girl, it was for "Charlie's Angels." Steve went behind Bernie's back and tried to get the producers/director to cast him instead of Bernie as Bosley in the movie. He tried to tell them how much better he'd be for the part. Fortunately he never got it course. I'll never forget that, and I was wondering why Steve was even part of the tribute. He's a snake.

Comment: Closet_Nerd_Girl: Did you catch DL's face at times when Steve was talking? He looked as though he was biting his lips extremely hard so he could be respectful to Bernie, Cedric and Larry King. Because if they were elsewhere, I think DL would have let Steve have it.

Comment: ...Yeah, I detected it wasn't all cool...Notice when Steve said DHL, Ced and him went out and did hollywood...Bernie would always go home and sh1t...DL said "Thanks for mentioning that Steve"...All you could say 'bout Bernie was that he was a family man and treated folks like folks..He wasn't in to that Imma star sh1t...And he really didn't get punk'd...He was ready to pop-off...Ashton had to hurry up and get his azz there to calm that sh1t down...Mac wasn't going out like Kanye and that lil boy who started crying like a lil gurl...

Comment: Closet_Nerd_Girl...I heard the beef was over the Ocean's Eleven part. Apparently, Steve had his folks contact Steven Soderburgh and lobby Steve for the part versus Bernie based on Steve supposedly being the better known of the two comedians.
I knew the tribute was coming on, but forgot about it. I'll catch it on Youtube. The clip from here was good. I agree with whomever said of the two 'black' networks TVONE would be the one to do a tribute to the Mac Man. RIP Bernie.

Comment: That's right the beef was over ocean's 11
Steve thought his people could sneak him in the role. Well the rest is history. But that goes to show you what kind of person steve is. Hell they ran his %*$ out of LA.(another story) a later time. I worked with Bernie in Atlanta several times at the comedy act comedy club and Bernie is and was one of the best on and off the MIC. The MACMAN WILL TRULY BE MISSED.

Comment: I'm gonna have to stop looking at the Bernie Mac stuff right now. I'm so sad about his passing as if her were a member of my family. Even now, I feel tears wanting to come. In his stand-ups, Bernie would say, "We family. I can say this, cause y'all my family. Am I right?" And I think I really felt like he was a beloved family member. I miss him. Larry Kings show last night was great. I wanted it to be longer. I was so happy that my 19 year old son was touched as well by Bernie. I was listening to Monique on monday, and she was talking about how she and Bernie were at an event and this man was selling designer bags. He told Monique that he had just sold one to Bernie at some ridiculous price, which he was using as a sale tactic to get Monique to buy one. Monique said she couldn't talk the guy down. EVenutally, she ran into Bernie and asked him. She said Bernie grabbed her and walked over to the purse man, and said, 'how you gonna be name dropping on babygirl like that? tryna make a sale on my name. Don't do babygirl like that. You treat babygirl right" I can just hear him saying that. I miss him. I don't know that I have ever felt this way about a celebrity. Is it just me?

Comment: We all know that there are tears in heaven,
But how many of you know that now there is laughter in the hereafter?
On Saturday, August 9, comedian Bernie Mac took his final bow and closed his earthly page,
Then the Mac man immediately took his act to the heavenly stage.
He’s on the marquee with Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Robin Harris,
On this tour there will be no more pain, no more worries or cares.
The angels are their audience and the Father is their concert promoter,
Can you imagine them up there attending fund raisers and delivering one liners to voters?
Then the Mac Man with his jovial spirit stares into the celestial camera with a great big smile,
And says, “Heaven, I wanna to tell you something, the line to get in here was longer than a ------ mile.”

Comment: I knew something was not quite right about the tribute (a sense of discomfort). Steve is all on the radio acting sad but now I see it's just his conscience bothering him. Never did like him (Steve)never thought he was funny and don't understand why people listen to his show. It's quite obvious Steve is a jerk and now it's been confirmed. HATER!!!

Comment: P.S. I'm glad I taped it(the tribute) I'll watch again. You notice Steve said he was in Chicago on Friday for the Budd Milliken Parade. He didn't sound like he had planned on visiting if only to offer support to Bernie's wife (I know you can't have visitors in ICU). That was a clue that something was going on between them two. He also never answered the question "When was the last time you talked to Bernie?" DL was honest (sounded like they weren't real close) but he and Cedric had spoken within the the last 3 weeks. The memorial should be interesting...I guess Steve will speak just to make things seem like things were cool between them two... ol' JERK. I see why Bernie stayed away from them when they were touring. Cedric may have not been married at that time, Steve was out there and well I heard the same thing about DL. He probably wanted to stay away from their messy butts.

Comment: I had the please of seeing The Kings of Comedy twice, and I must say that the first go'round Bernie or Ced should have been the headliner as opposed to Steve because they were definitely more funny. The second time, I guess others echoed my thoughts because Steve no longer closed the show. Condolences to the McCollough family. RIP Mr. Mac. You will definitely be missed.

Comment: I'M WRITTING THIS A DAY after Bernie Mac's funeral,it was a double sad day for me, because we buried my last grandparent my grandmother the same day (Saturday ) as Bernie Mac, we rejoiced and celebrated my grandmother life I danced all over that church, because I did all I could do 4 my grandmother,I cried at the end but it was because I would miss Muddear (is what we called her) I came home watched some clips of Bernie Mac funeral,Steve couldn't even speak on his way in the church. Then they put the camera on him in the church, and he was boo- hooing like a baby he was all bent over in pain and grief & tears flooding his face. I said 2 my self that his guilty conscience getting the best of him , dl & ced looked very sad but Steve was taking it real hard. Thats how it is when U stab UR supposely friend in the back!!! That was wrong what he did 2 Bernie!!! Now he got 2 live with the guilt 4 the rest of his life!! I notice the tension on the Larry King Show 2!!! That why it good 2 treat people right because U NEVER KNOW!!!! REST IN PEACE BERNIE MAC MY FAVORITE COMEDIAN!!!!!I have cried a river of tears at Ur passing, but UR OUT OF PAIN AND WITH jesus.
