Comment: From what I understand Toni has a contract to show up and perform -- she does not have a sponsor. If she did the sponsor would have prominent advertising in the headline of her show. I'm not a huge Toni fan but cut her some slack -- she's the primary bread winner, probably more than takes care of her family (mother, sisters,etc.) and she has an autistic child. She also wasn't the best at money management as we read last year.

Not sure what it is, but, something is not in the right order with her, and I hope her husband has some type of employment, helping to bring resources into the home to help support the household budget and feed the children, especially since one of her kids have special medical needs - that in itself is additional cost.

Comment: Her husband was in Mint Condition (my favorite self-contained band), but left I believe of his on accord (moving to ATL after marrying Toni). And I was under the impression he contributed quite a bit to the song writing in Mint, so I was disappointed that he did leave. As far as Toni's cash flow problems, who knows? Shouldn't be too big of a problem right now, especially if she's in a show through Feb 2008. Not certain if I'd accept a check from her in March or thereafter though.

Comment: I'm not speaking to his writing or producing, Mint Condition has always said that Kerri was never an original member -- he was contracted for his services. An example I can use is this: I recently saw Alice Smith in concert. Her usual b%*$ player (Preston) was not there. That night she had Michelle N'degocello on b%*$ -- who was contracted for that performance and perhaps others. That was Kerri's involvement in Mint Condition, a contracted musician. I always got the impression he was there as a tour musician (although Toni probably figured that out much later)

He was with them from '89/'90 till he married Toni (early 2000's) and during that time appears on all the album/CD covers, is listed in the jackets as a member, etc., etc. Also reported here (http://randb.about.com/od/upcomingartists/p/MintC.htm ) as a member, albeit a former one.

Hence my disappointment when he left because I don't think their songwriting has returned to its previous form since then. Stokely still has the voice that can run all around the room, but (so far) their better songs came out between '90-'98.

Comment: GIN... I don't know. I'm thinking they (toni & Liberty Entertainment company) realized there wasn't enough funds in the business account and try to stop payment on it but it was too late. Is it really worth suing? I think the accounting is handled by Liberty not Kerri!!! Toni may have personally asked Franco to make the costumes but I think Liberty writes the checks.

Comment: Oh and one other thing to piggyback on what Taurusingr said: the drummer is indeed the contracted one, which is clear if you've ever seen Mint Condition live. Stokely, as well as being the lead singer, is a drummer, and does most of the drumming when they're in the studio recording. But when they perform live, he solely does vocals. Hence the contract drummer.
