Comment: Karl Lagerfeld has been notorious for incorporating "street culture" into his fashions. I vividly remember when Treach (Naughty by nature) used to wear a bike chain around his neck. The next fashion season, all lagerfeld models had similar "chain" jewelry around their necks...what's interesting is that we will undoubtedly support this film when it comes out; but give an up & coming brother some support (Jerry LeMothe, incredible screenwriter & director who has a film called "Blackout" currently making the indy rounds) -- naah, won't do it.

Comment: I wont watch this. I see the hood everyday leaving my home to go to work, people selling drugs, sex, cigarettes, stolen merchandise. I pass by more black men on the way to work than at the job. So the horrors of the drug trade are visible to me each and every day.

Comment: How many times can the story be told? The subject matter usually get glamorized in the Hollywood tradition and thought touted as a cautionary tale, it will be the inspired to some youngster to do something stupid trying to emulate what he/she saw on the screen. What needs to be done is a doucmentary showing how the drug culture has reeked havoc in the hood. They need some real victims to tell them about the dark side and the consequences of getting involved with drugs.

Comment: Good Morning, Look I agree with the fact it's the same storyline but Hollywood doesn't to want to portray us any differently...A Black actor or actress has to prove themselves first then once that is done then they have to fight off being type cast for those "certain" roles..Look at Paula Jai Parker (Craig's girlfriend in the first Friday flick)"Fool where Craig at!!"

Comment: >SpecialK that's what I am talking about not no more shyt with rap music and r&b glamorizing the drug culture. The sad reality is that the drug dealers are addicted also to making easy money and having power over people, they are one of the black neighborhood's greatest foes. A lot of the time they are under educated, unemployed and idle those of some very dangerous combinations.

Comment: Congratulations Keisha. I am proud of this young woman who has managed to become successful considering where she came from. Regardless to what the moral of the story is, I'm going to support her. I remember times when she was singing on the street corners instead of going to school determined to make it when everyone else thought that she would fail. She proved them all wrong while staying humble. Do the damn thang girl!!!

Comment: --->Shortey71 well you should have said she proved them all wrong who thought she wouldn't amount to anything but people that were saying she wouldn't amount to anything because she was skipping school had every right to think she was making the wrong decision.
